Metadata

Filesystem metadata object returned by metadata, Path.metadata(), and File.metadata().

For filesystem-level capacity and mount metadata, use FsMetadata.

Accessing a field that does not apply to the target platform raises a field error. freebsd_attrs, linux_attrs, macos_attrs, and related attribute fields are nil when the filesystem or file type does not support querying file attributes.

Fields

`size`

File size in bytes.

`type`

File type as a Sym: :FILE:, :DIR:, :SYMLINK:, :FIFO:, :CHAR_DEVICE:, :BLOCK_DEVICE:, :SOCKET:, or :UNKNOWN:.

`modified`

Last modification time as DateTime.

`accessed`

Last access time as DateTime.

`created`

Creation or status-change time as DateTime.

Windows-Only Fields

`user`

Owner Sid.

`group`

Primary group Sid.

`win_attrs`

Raw Windows file attribute bitmask.

`readonly`

Whether the readonly attribute is set.

`system`

Whether the system attribute is set.

`archive`

Whether the archive attribute is set.

`reparse_point`

Whether the reparse-point attribute is set.

`encrypted`

Whether the encrypted attribute is set.

`temporary`

Whether the temporary attribute is set.

`offline`

Whether the offline attribute is set.
